Luisa’s parents migrated from one place to another for years before finally being able to settle down in one place. Since she had not really been able to complete her education in a normal sequence, Luisa’s English language skills were not where her parents wanted them to be. English courses in the USA tend to favor a student who progresses at a regular pace in a normal school setting.
