Be Careful When Buying Military Buttons

When I collect buttons, I look for metal ones with the Air Force Insignia. I love collecting buttons that were military made. They are some of the highest quality and heavy duty buttons ever made. They are very solid and the shanks do not break off of them very easily. In fact, I do not know that I have ever seen one with a broken shank. A person who is new to button collecting, however, needs to be very careful when paying good money for buttons they believe are vintage military because they are some of the most copied designs around. Not necessarily counterfeit, though.
