There are black or brown small spots found on the skin. Various shapes and sizes are seen. These are called moles. Moles can be considered beauty marks and may make people believe that they are more attractive. On the other hand, some people don’t want moles because they feel they look ugly to them. A raised mole can impede shaving and it can cause skin irritation as it reacts to certain clothes or jewelry. Mole removal is commonly done if that is the case. A benign mole is not usually removed as it is harmless. Removal of a mole should not be done without reliable information. Consulting an experienced dermatologist is also a must because they will provide information on proper care of the excised mole especially if it is cancerous.
