Finding an Affordable Apartment in Amsterdam

January 14, 2010 on 4:58 am | By admin | In Travel

The people of Amsterdam need affordable housing as well. This is why you can find some apartments for rent in Amsterdam that only cost around seven hundred euros a month. Most of the landlords within Amsterdam are very caring and stay up to date about the needs of their tenants. You can certainly find some very luxurious studio apartments in Amsterdam which can cost you quite a bit of money. Some organizations list these apartments being at only twenty euros a night. I simply do not see how some of these lovely studio apartments in Amsterdam can only cost twenty euros a night, but if you can swing such a deal for a nice apartment in Amsterdam you should consider yourself lucky.

Brighton Gets Behind Its Political Women

January 9, 2010 on 7:49 am | By admin | In Travel

Brighton Short Breaks welcomes Brighton and Hove presenting its self view as the most Right On community in the United Kingdomthis week with the occurance that it is the first  a parliamentary election has ensured an all-female list of nominees.

20 years after Mrs Thatcher broke governmental conventions  by  the first ever woman Prime Minister the complaint that the hallways of Westminster are still a masculine reigned territory  ring just as forte as ever! So, Brighton and Hove’s all female  short list of Parliamentary campaigners generates some boost to a prospective future change of ground in the sex proportionality in the political power world.

Being quoted in The Argus , Fawcett Society chief executive Ceri Goddard said: “If all the candidates are women that is cause for celebration but also concern that it has taken until 2009, whereas all-male elections are still the norm.

“The voters if Brighton can be pleased that whom ever they elect they will be a step closer to closing the gender gap in parliament where currently less than 20% of our MP’s are women – less than Iraq, Afghanistan and Rwanda.”

‘Less than Iraq, Afghanistan and Rwanda……… ‘ - personally that particular statement left me slightly red-faced about the state of our governmental domain and interested as to the causes for male mastery above and beyond the past precedency that gentlemen should have it totally their own way - and its a whole Pandoras box of discussion that is better left for some other place .

But my role here now is as - as always - to fly the flag for Brighton and Hove and exhibit how forwards intending and politically alive our home city  is, and having  a ratio of men to women in parliament  more typical of the population, is in my belief, a pace in the true direction!

We May Buy a Phuket Property in Thailand

January 7, 2010 on 12:14 am | By admin | In Travel

My husband buys and sells real estate all over the world. Sometimes we get to take dream trips to check out these places before we offer a price or put them back on the market. Some properties simply change hands without our ever laying eyes on them. When we do get to travel, I try to make the trip a special get away for us, worked around the business end of it. Three days ago my husband told me we needed to get out our passports. We are traveling to Thailand to see a Phuket property that is on the market right now. It looks amazing online. I can’t wait for this get away to what looks like paradise

The travel in Australia my wife and I are doing

January 6, 2010 on 9:25 pm | By admin | In Travel

Last month my wife got an e-mail from her friends over in Australia and apparently he and his wife were going to be away for a while and wanted someone to watch their home. My wife and I have always wanted to go to Australia; however we never even been out of the country. I guess one of the biggest questions was the Accessible Travel in Australia had available. I imagined the roads were very different there and I needed to find out what I needed to do. I was more than surprised to find out that the roads are probably better than ours. My wife and I made plans to go Australia.

It Was Much Nicer

Hanging out at the airport isn’t usually considered a nice way to spend the afternoon, but having good service and amenities definitely helps make it a bit more pleasant. I had no ideas that pre-booking the Bristol airport parking would do that. I got a great coupon book that I could use at the vendors at the gates. I was able to get a great meal, complete with drink, while I waited for my flight, which was much nicer than just sitting there playing computer games. However, if I did want to hop on and check email or send my wife a note about the itinerary, I could.

If you have experience with Rocket Spanish

January 2, 2010 on 6:30 am | By admin | In Travel

“Achieve by Learning from the Rocket Spanish Course” I know the best way to learn a language is immersion but I am looking for a self-paced study tool that will help guide my learning of the spanish language. If you have experience with Rocket Spanish, please share. I am interested in Latin American Spanish as opposed to the Spanish used in Spain. If I would have heard someone say something like that about a Spanish language course, I would have had some trouble taking them seriously. But in my honest opinion, the creators of Rocket Spanish are not joking when they say their course will help you.

The Perfect Little Exotic Getaway From Everyday Stresses - Tenerife Holidays

January 1, 2010 on 6:20 am | By admin | In Travel

This year is going to be the first year that I will have enough holiday time to be able to take a nice long break from work, so I want to make sure that I pick the right place to go to, so that I can get the most from my time off.  That said, I have been looking into Tenerife holidays, as a couple of my friends have gone there and both of them really enjoyed their stays and had a lot of good things to say about the island.  I think it is exactly the kind of exotic place with plenty of things to do for my time away from work.

The Colombia Embassy n Washington DC

December 28, 2009 on 4:26 am | By admin | In Travel

When my parents were first married, they immigrated to the United States from Colombia. My sisters and I were all born in the United States, although we’ve been to Colombia nearly every year since we were old enough to fly, to see relatives who still live there. Well my sister got married this year, and her and her new husband would like to travel to Colombia to visit our grandparents. Not knowing exactly what he would need for an extended visit, they visited the Colombia Embassy in Washington DC to get things figured out and arranged. They will be flying out in a few weeks, and have everything ready to go.
