Wonderful Tonight

November 17, 2009 on 9:25 am | By | In Arts

My sister and I have been listening to some of our old music from our childhood. She still thinks “Wonderful Tonight” is the best song ever written. She said it reminds her of her wedding night. She and her husband danced to that right before they left their wedding reception to leave for their honeymoon. He still sings it to her every time it comes on the radio. I think it is very sweet that they still relish the memories of their wedding night. She still gets emotional when she hears it. It was a beautiful moment on their wedding night.

Vocal Lessons DVD for Singers

November 12, 2009 on 3:21 pm | By | In Arts

Tons of singers are looking for the best vocal lessons on DVD to increase their vocal skills.  Even if you’ve been taking lessons from a coach, a DVD can be a great way to continue the process.  It’s going to usually take some consistency as a singer to make real, lasting improvement.  If you’re just taking lessons from a coach once or twice a week, but not putting in 20 minutes per day, you won’t really be able to hold notes longer.  Some of the DVDs made by famous coaches, such as Brett Manning and Per Bristow are good for home lessons.  It’s also good to record yourself singing or you can record your practices in your house.  This helps you hear your true voice and not just what you imagine in your head.

Keeping the Kids Involved

November 9, 2009 on 5:38 am | By | In Arts

I teach and these days with video games and TV it is so hard to keep the kids attention.  The best way to keep their attention is to get them involved in the subject for instance the other day I was teaching the kids about animals and what I did was print them out some animal coloring pages to color while I taught them about the animal they were coloring.  I was able to get these great pages from this site www.freeprintablecoloringpages.net.  They have a great selection of coloring pages to choose from and the best thing is that they are free, which is a great thing due to recent budget cuts.

Yet Another Activity

Like piano lessons weren’t enough, now my son wants to take Christian guitar lessons.  I suppose this will make him a more well rounded musician, but I have no idea how we are going to afford them.  We all want to give our children all the opportunities that we never had as children.  However, I think we have more than succeeded in this area.  My dear son has had piano lessons, soccer, gymnastics, karate and basketball.  He should grow up to be well rounded although we as his parents will grow old with bank accounts increasingly reduced.  Our hope is that he will be able to support us in our old age.

A lot of Piano Teachers Recommended Piano Teaching Software

October 9, 2009 on 1:11 am | By | In Arts

I first heard it over the news while I was driving my sedan on a busy street. I love music and I am interested to learn the Piano,a little bit. I know how to play the guitar.

In the past, I never heard about piano teaching software. So I get a bit interested on how this program will really benefit the students. As far as I am concern, I feel like it is a bit awkward to me, because there is no human interaction during the learning process. However, I find it amazing, because this will encourage the students to strive more and exert a lot of effort. I know that there are no subsitutes for teachers but we have to be practical sometimes like we have to save money, travel expenses, and time. There is something great on PIANO Learning. I myself will try it. Who knows I will able to play the piano well with in a month.

Hope so.
