Sold on Shades

My son wakes up at the crack of dawn which keeps me and my husband from ever enjoying a day to sleep in. We decided to try to change his waking habits by replacing the blinds in his room with dark fabric roller shades. These could be one of the best investments we have ever made. The first Saturday rolled around and he slept an hour and a half past dawn, which was sleeping in for us. We decided to cover every window in the house with these impressive shades. I plan to buy some as a gift for my sister in law who is going through the same thing with her little one.

Son’s Christmas Plans

I felt like I hit the mother lode today at a discount store in town. They had marked a bunch of their toys and I was able to pick up a ton of Cheap Bakugan toys for my son. I’m going to put them away til Christmas. They’ll make perfect stocking stuffers for him. Add some candy and I’m done with that part of my shopping. I also have to get him some new clothes although really, what kid likes to receive new clothes for a gift?  But he’ll get over it when he sees the new bike that he’s also getting.

It Has Given Us New Hope

My husband and I own a rental house a couple of doors down from us. We have been afraid to get renters in it, though, because of something that happened to us a year ago. A tenant got in there and never made a single payment. When we tried to evict him, he hid from the sheriff so that he couldn’t be served. When we finally did get him out of there a year later, he had completely trashed to place. It took us months to get it back into shape. Last week, though, we found out about Property Management Software. It has given us new hope about getting renters in there. The program will take care of payments and maintenance for us, and we can check tenants’ backgrounds before they start renting.
